Who can join the OLACT?

Member States

Any State geographically representative of Latin America and the Caribbean and independent in its foreign relations qualifies as a potential member of the OLACT and can participate the Organization’s activities.

Sectoral members

The OLACT pays special attention to other entities representative of Latin America and the Caribbean but who are not the highest tourism authority in their respective countries.  These entities are encouraged to participate in the various permanent commissions of the OLACT:

• Provincial government (Ministry or department of tourism)
• Local government (Municipalities)
• Management agencies from touristic destinations
• Educational institutions
• Student associations
• Congress centers
• Financial institutions
• Non-governmental organizations (NGOs)
